About Me

My name is Megan Lewis and I am a student at Texas State Univeristy studying Advertising and Mass Communication. It has been a long journey figuring out what I want my path in life to be. I started out as a Business major, switched to Advertising, switched to Fashion and then alas chose the Advertisng route. My mom is in the fashion industry so I have always had this piece of me intrigued by the fashion world. I was disapointed though when I started the major here, it just didn't meet my expectations. Ultimately I came to the conclusion that fashion is more of a hobby than a career path of mine. With that said, welcome to my interpretation of fashion.

What I love about the fashion world is that styles are constantly changing. Sometimes later on down the road that trend will come back in into play, and other times maybe it just won't because it was so tragic... like sweater vests and Uggs with miniskirts (yuck). A few my favorite trending pieces currently include white boots, anything with glitter and stars for days. If anyone were to take a look in my closet they would see it is very modern, edgy and classic. But, I do have several statement pieces that the average person would not see fit to wear. I on the other hand find them fun to pair with.

2018 has been a big year for trends; here are some of my favorites:

The three links above are examples of pieces similar to what I own now. Bloomingdale's is the perfect spot to find your affordable going out bag. I for one prefer glitter, it gives that oomph that your outfit may need. I own a pair of white patent leather boots from Steve Madden; some of my guy friends make fun and say I look like Nacho Libre, but they are a hot commodity right now. Last is my favorite; stars. I am huge on anything celestial. I own a pair of white sneakers with silver glitter stars and they are rad to wear with any kind of outfit. The link to Princess Polly is an Australian clothing website that offers trendy pieces that are affordable. No one should pay too much money for fast fashion; you have to save up for that next trending style ;).
